USSSA NOVA TRAVEL LEAGUE
The USSSA NOVA TRAVEL LEAGUE will be open to any teams that are USSSA registered, and in the 8u-14u age groups. Teams will be awarded USSSA points for playing in the league. League champions will be determined thru playoffs or end of season tournament. Players of teams entered into this league will be eligible to tryout for the USSSA All-Star program. Teams will be allowed to play in other Leagues and if the team you’re playing against is USSSA registered you may use the results of that game into our league.
Registration is now open and entry forms must be completed and returned with payment by Feb 20th, 2010. After registration is closed we will then send out the schedule request form, this form will have to be returned by March 1st, 2010. Schedule should be posted by March 15th, 2010. Season should start around the April 10th weekend.
All teams playing in the USSSA NOVA TRAVEL LEAGUE will also receive a $25.00 discount on the entry fee for any tournament they play in with Tri-County Sports.
We will also have 4 to 5 Sunday’s open to teams to play their league games at Patriot Park. This is NOT a requirement to participate, only an option. On these days all teams will pay $65 per team per game. This will cover all cost involved including umpire fees. We will try to attract teams from the Richmond area to play, and if time allows teams may play more than 2 games if desired. If the numbers allow us to each team will play 2 different teams(3-way)
Requirements:
-All teams must be registered with USSSA
-Teams will be required to play 12 league games
-Teams must have team insurance
-Teams must provide and secure home field for home games
-Scores must be reported with in 24hrs of game competition
-Teams will be responsible of paying umpires at fields
-Teams will be able to use their own local umpire or we can assign them for you.
-You must fill out a schedule request form. This will tell us what dates you want to play.
Rules:
-USSSA rules will apply when not covered by USSSA the MLB rules will apply.
-Any rule adjustments must be discussed and agreed upon by both teams at pre-game meeting with umpire.
Cost:
-All teams will be required to pay a league fee of $200.00 Entry forms and payment must be received by Feb20th 2010. Schedule request forms will be issued after the close of registration and will have to be returned by March 1st.
-All umpire fees will be paid to umpires at end of games. If you use the USSSA umpires,
We will arrange them to be at fields for you. Most umpires will charge between $50-$65 per game.
-Playoffs and/or end of season cost and date will be determined before season begins.
